Vandana Verma is a Security Leader at Snyk with over 19 years of experience across application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, and AI security — including software supply chain security, SBOMs, and securing AI/LLM applications.
She spent 14 years with the OWASP Foundation, including terms as Vice-Chair and Treasurer, before becoming the first woman to serve as Chair of OWASP's Global Board of Directors. She organizes OWASP AppSec Days India and co-organizes BSides Delhi, sits on the Black Hat Asia Review Board, and has given keynotes at Black Hat, RSA Conference, Grace Hopper Conference, and BSides events worldwide.
She is also President of InfosecGirls and founder of InfosecKids and InfosecDiversity, initiatives that have brought cyber-awareness training to more than 90,000 people. Her honours include Cyber Security Woman of the Year (2020), a spot among IFSEC Global's top cybersecurity influencers, and a place on the Life Safety Alliance's 2026 Top 40 Global Thought Leaders in Security. She co-authored the "State of Application Security 2020" report and contributed to "The Rise of the Cyber Women: Volume One."
