Dr. Tajinder Grewal is the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Saskatoon University-Sutherland and Shadow Minister for Advanced Education in Saskatchewan. First elected in 2024, he also serves on the Standing Committee on the Economy.
Before entering public life, Dr. Grewal built a distinguished career in science. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology, and is a Professional Agrologist. He served as chief scientist and head of the genomics lab at SGS Canada, and previously as a research officer at the University of Saskatchewan and a research scientist at the Saskatchewan Research Council.
