About Jay Shah, E.I.T.

Jay Shah is the founder of TrackPoint.ai, a Saskatoon-based startup building AI-powered simulations for education and corporate training — customizable scenarios for negotiation practice, sales training, presentations, and interviews, tailored to a school's curriculum or an organization's own needs. Based out of Innovation Saskatchewan's Research and Technology Park, the three-person team already counts settlement agencies, colleges, and universities — including the University of Saskatchewan itself — among its customers.

He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan's College of Engineering in 2022 on a full President's First and Best Scholarship, and is a certified Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. While still a student, he co-founded Koble, a platform connecting music fans with bands. He went on to work as a computer engineer at Calian before leaving in January 2025 — turning down an accepted offer to the University of Toronto's MBA program — to build TrackPoint.ai full-time.

Jay joined Opus, USask's startup incubator, in the summer of 2024, and TrackPoint.ai won the Audience Choice Award at the 2025 Co.Launch pitch night. Earlier wins include first place at the 2023 Co.Hack Hackathon and the Entrepreneurial Powerhouse award at the University of New Brunswick Business Pitch Competition. Outside the startup, he holds Private and Glider Pilot licenses from Transport Canada, has represented Canada internationally through the Air Cadet League, and launched Tech Social, a monthly networking series for Saskatchewan's innovation community run in partnership with Innovation Saskatchewan. He's now setting his sights on taking TrackPoint.ai global in 2026.

At the Saskatchewan AI & Tech Summit 2027, Jay speaks in the hackathon session — bringing a builder's, hackathon-winner's perspective to students shipping their own projects under the clock.
