Amit Gupta is Senior Vice President and General Manager at Siemens EDA, where he directs the company's AI strategy and its Custom Integrated Circuit (IC) division — building the technologies that help engineers design and verify the chips behind modern electronics.
A University of Saskatchewan alumnus — with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, earned with Great Distinction — Amit founded Solido Design Automation in Saskatoon in 2005 and, as President & CEO, grew it into the market leader for machine-learning-based chip design tools before its acquisition by Siemens in 2017. Earlier, he founded Analog Design Automation in 1999, which was acquired by Synopsys in 2004.
